Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro or mint (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon agave or honey (optional)

Method
 

  1. Thinly slice the cucumbers and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Sprinkle salt over the cucumbers and toss gently.
  3. Add fresh lime juice and chili flakes.
  4. Toss lightly until evenly coated.
  5. Let the salad rest for 10–15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs just before serving.

Notes

  • Best served fresh for maximum crunch
  • Do not over-marinate, or the cucumbers may release water

  • Adjust lime and spice to your taste
  • For extra crunch, chill cucumbers before slicing
