Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 cup shrimp, lightly cooked
  • 1 cup white fish (cod or haddock)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional)
  • tsp garlic powder
  • cups crushed buttery crackers
  • 3 tbsp melted butter

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Skillet
  • Whisk
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Baking dish
  • Rubber spatula

Method

  1. Gently prepare the seafood and set aside.
  2. Make a creamy butter sauce by whisking butter, flour, milk, and cream until thick.
  3. Fold seafood into the sauce carefully.
  4. Transfer to a buttered baking dish and top with cracker mixture.
  5. Now, perfectly bake the lobster pie & rest before serving.

Notes

  • Use real butter for authentic steakhouse flavor
  • Avoid overcooking seafood before baking

  • Let the pie rest so the sauce sets properly
  • Best served fresh, but reheats well in the oven
