Ingredients

Main Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Frank’s RedHot (or any vinegar-based hot sauce)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar (optional for balance)
⭐ Optional Add-ins (Customize Heat & Flavor):
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey — for slight sweetness that tones down sharp heat
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika — for a deeper smoky kick

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Glass jar or heat-safe storage container

Method

  1. First, you need to melt the butter In a saucepan on a low flame.
  2. Add hot sauce, cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire, and vinegar.
  3. Whisk continuously so the butter doesn't separate.
  4. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thick.
  5. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Taste and adjust heat, sweetness, or thickness.
  7. Rest for 10 minutes before using or storing.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more cayenne or a splash of ghost pepper sauce.
  • For milder flavor, increase the butter or add honey.
  • Always cook on low heat to prevent separation.

  • You can keep this sauce in the fridge for at least 10 days.
  • Works beautifully on wings, tenders, fries, sliders, and shrimp.
