Ingredients

  • 3 ¾ cups bread flour (or all-purpose)
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • Optional: garlic powder, Italian seasoning

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Rolling Pin
  • Plastic wrap or a damp towel
  • Baking sheet or pizza stone
  • Oven
  • Pizza Cutter
  • Stand mixer with dough hook (optional)

Method

  1. First of all, take a bowl & mix the following: warm water, sugar & sprinkle some yeast until you get a light foam.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until the dough forms.
  3. Knead for 8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a stand mixer.
  4. Now place it in a pre-oiled bowl, & let it rest for at least 1 to 1.5 hours.
  5. Punch down, divide, and roll out to 12-inch rounds.
  6. Pre-bake for 5–6 minutes if desired, then add toppings.
  7. Now, bake the pizza crust at 475°F (245°C) for at least 12–15 minutes until you get a crisp, golden texture.
  8. Slice, serve & enjoy!

Notes

  • For a tangy touch, use cold-fermented dough for at least 24–48 hours.
  • Bread flour yields a chewier crust; all-purpose will give a softer bite.

  • You can add a pinch of garlic powder for enhanced flavor.
  • You can also refrigerate for 48 hours, or you can use frozen dough for up to 3 months.
