Northern Lights Glow Punch Recipe

A visually stunning and glow-in-the-dark punch inspired by the aurora borealis. Made with tonic water, citrus, and vibrant juices, this magical drink glows under black light—perfect for parties, holidays, and themed celebrations!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 liter tonic water
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup white grape or apple juice
  • ½ cup lemon or lime juice
  • 1 cup blue sports drink
  • ¼ cup grenadine or cranberry juice
  • Optional: Neon food coloring
  • Optional: edible glitter or dry ice
  • Optional (adult version): 1–2 cups vodka or rum

Equipment

  • Large glass punch bowl or beverage dispenser
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Long spoon or ladle
  • Black light or UV lamp
  • Clear serving cups
  • Optional: funnel, citrus juicer, mirror base

Method
 

  1. Chill all ingredients before assembling.
  2. Take a large bowl, combine the following ingredients & stir gently, tonic water, pineapple juice, lemon juice, & soda.
  3. Slowly add blue sports drink and grenadine for layered color effect.
  4. Add food coloring and edible glitter if desired.
  5. Serve in a clean & clear glasses for perfect glow.
  6. Add dry ice pellets for fog effect (optional and with caution).
  7. For adult version, stir in alcohol just before serving.

Notes

  • Tonic water is the most important for a glowing effect.
  • Dry ice should never be consumed—allow it to fully dissolve.

  • Use citrus fruits (lime/lemon) to enhance natural fluorescence.
  • Add soda right before serving to preserve fizz.

  • For a natural version, skip food coloring and use blueberry/pomegranate juice.
