- 1️⃣ First of all, In a medium flame heat olive oil in a saucepan.
- 2️⃣ Add minced garlic; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 3️⃣ Add tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper & sugar & stir in well.
- 4️⃣ Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5️⃣ Blend with an immersion blender for a smoother texture (optional).
- 6️⃣ Let the sauce rest for 5 minutes before using on pizzas.
Notes
- San Marzano tomatoes give the best flavor, but any good-quality canned tomatoes work.
- Add red pepper flakes & hot sauce for more heat & spicy kick.
- Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for 1 week or freeze it for 3 months.
- For extra richness, finish with a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
