Ingredients
  

For Chai Base (Quick Version)
  • 2 Tazo chai tea bags (or similar)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1–2 tbsp sugar, honey, or maple syrup
  • ½ tsp extract (optional)
For Milk
  • 1 cup milk (2%, oat, almond, soy, etc.)
  • Pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional topping)

Equipment

  • Saucepan or kettle
  • Tea strainer or sieve
  • Frother or blender (optional)
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Mug or glass
  • Mason jar (optional for frothing)

Method
 

  1. Boil Water: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
  2. Make Tea: Add tea bags or home made alternate and steep for at least 5–7 minutes.
  3. Sweeten: Stir in sweetener and optional vanilla extract.
  4. Heat Milk: In another pan, heat 1 cup of milk (do not boil).
  5. Froth Milk: Froth with a frother, blender, or mason jar method.
  6. Combine: Mix equal parts chai tea and milk in your mug.
  7. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on top. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Stronger Chai? Use 3 tea bags or simmer longer.
  • Make Ahead: Brew and store chai concentrate in the fridge for 5 days.

  • Iced Version: Chill tea and mix with cold milk + ice.
  • Vegan Option: Use oat or almond milk + maple syrup.
  • Low-Sugar: Use stevia or monk fruit as a sweetener.
