Texas Roadhouse Steak Fries Recipe

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients:
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons oil (for baking/air frying)
Oil for deep frying:
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional cayenne pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Large bowl
  • Deep pan or fryer
  • Baking tray or air fryer
  • Tongs or slotted spoon
  • Paper towels

Method
 

  1. Wash and cut potatoes into thick wedges. Soak the potatoes in cold water for at least 25 - 30 minutes. Drain and dry completely.
  2. Toss potatoes with cornstarch and a little oil. Mix well.
  3. Deep fry: Double fry method for best results
    Oven: Bake at 220°C for 30 to 40 minutes
    Air fryer: Cook at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes
  4. Sprinkle seasoning immediately after cooking. Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

  • Soaking removes starch and improves texture
  • Dry potatoes fully before cooking
  • Double frying gives best crispiness

  • Avoid overcrowding while cooking
  • Serve immediately for best taste
